Essential:- A Bachelor degree in Horticulture / Agriculture with Horticulture as an elective subject from a recognized University.

Desirable:- Master Degree in Horticulture from a recognized University.

Essential:-

1. A Second Class Master’s degree or Honours degree in Geography of an Indian University or equivalent.
2. A degree in Teaching or Education or equivalent a candidate not possessing this qualification may apply but if selected shall have to acquire such qualifications within 3 years of joining the post and will draw on an ad hoc basis the initial of the time-scale of pay till she qualifies herself in this regard.
3. Teaching experience in English medium in Secondary Schools, preferably residential ones, relaxable for otherwise well-qualified candidates.
4. Ability to teach in English medium.

Desirable:-

1. Ability to organize extracurricular activities such as performance of dramas, organization of literary meetings, educational excursions etc.
2. Knowledge of Bengali- spoken and written.
3. Knowledge of Nepali- spoken and written.
