HPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment - 2024

 

Qualifications

ASSISTANT PROFESSORS (all subjects except, Fine Arts and Mass Communication) :

  1. Good academic record with a Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concemed/ relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
  2. Knowledge of Hindi/Sanskrit up to Matric standard or in Higher Education. 
  3. The National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D Degree in accordance with the University Grant Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil / Ph.D Degree) Regulation, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET. 
  4. The Ph.D degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following; (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) the Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) the Academic Ranking of world Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jaio Tong University (Shanghai).

 

ASSISTANT PROFESSORS in Fine Arts:

  1. Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O.A.B.C.D.E and F at the Master's Degree level in Fine Arts from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.
  2. Knowledge of Hindi/Sanskrit upto Matric standard or in Higher Education.
  3. The National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D Degree in accordance with the University Grant Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil / Ph.D Degree) Regulation, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET. 
  4. ASSISTANT PROFESSORS in Mass Communication:

  1. Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of Master's Degree level or an equivalent qualification from an Indian or Foreign University/recognized institution in Communication/ Mass Communication/ Journalism.

Relaxation in age to the extent of his military serice added by three years provided -

(a)  he has rendered continuous military service for a period of not less than six months before his release; and 

(b) he was released otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency. 

Persons who have already worked or presently working on adhoe / contract / work-charged / daily wages basis in any Department / Board /
Corporation of Haryana Government including
Government-aided institutions under Haryana Government.

Relaxation in age Equal to the number of completed Years only on equivalent Post on adhoe/ contract/ work-charged/ daily wages basis excluding the Period of break, if any, including any
other age relaxation admissible, if any, subject to maximum age of 52 years and also subject to the
condition that if once a Person has been appointed on regular basis in any Department/ Board/ Corporation etc. of Haryana Govemment with the benefit of relaxation in age he will not be
entitled to avail the same again for any subsequent appointment.

Note: The upper age limit for a applicant of any cateogry (except Ex-Servicemen) shall not exceed 52 years who is entitled to avail the benefit of relaxation in age of one or more of the categories mentioned above.
