GPSC Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry, Class-I Exam - 2019-20

Education Qualification

  • Possess Degree of Doctorate in Philosophy (Ph. D.) or Post Graduate Degree in any branch of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry or Veterinary Science or Animal Husbandry from any of the Universities established or incorporated.
  • Possess the basic knowledge of Computer.
  • Possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
Experience
  • Have about 3-three or 5-Five years experience on the post, not below the rank of Veterinary Officer, Class-2, in the Gujarat Animal Husbandry Service, under the Directorate of Animal Husbandry.
  • Have about 3-three 5-Five years combined or separate experience in the field of Veterinary Education or Veterinary Research or Veterinary related field such as extension work in Animal Husbandry or in the field of investigation and control of livestock disease in Government / Local Bodies / Government undertaking Board / Corporation / Limited Company established under the Companies Act, 2013 on the post which can be considered equivalent to the post not below the rank of Veterinary Officer, Class II, in the Gujarat Animal Husbandry Service under the Directorate of Animal Husbandry.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: Must have completed 21 years on the last date of 10-01-2020.
  • Maximum Age: Must not have completed 42 years on the last date of 10-01-2020.

Physically Disabled In the case of physically Disabled candidates who have a disability which is mentioned in the above table can apply for the post. They shall get 10 years relaxation in the upper age limit subject to his / her ability for age relaxation according to Govt. Rules. Candidates possessing other than the prescribed physical disabilities about are not eligible to apply for this post. (maximum up to 45 years).
A candidate who is already in Gujarat Govt. service, either as a permanent or a temporary officiating continuously for six months and had not crossed age limit prescribed for the advertised post at the time of his first appointment.
  • If experience is prescribed as one of the qualifications, the upper age limit shall not apply.
  • If experience is not prescribed as one of the qualifications and a Govt. servant appointed to a post requiring a Medical, Engineering, Veterinary or Agriculture degree or diploma and who applied for any such post, the upper age limit shall not apply.
  • If experience is not prescribed as one of the qualifications in the advertisement, Govt. servants who are working on the post from which an employee can be promoted to the post so advertised, be entitled to relaxation of 5 years, or to the extent of equal number of years for which service has been put in by him, whichever is less.
