Qualifications

1. The candidate must have a Three year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from any technical institute recognized by the Government.
2. The Diploma must be a Regular course. Diploma courses obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted.
3. Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least I(one) official language of the State of Assam (i.e. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2024)

Age-Relaxation

1. By 5 years for SC/ST candidates, i.e. upto 43 years.

2. By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. upto 41 years as per Govt. Notification No. ABP.6/2016/9 dated Dispur the 25^th April 2018.

3. For Persons with benchmark disability (PwBD) by 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and UR Category of candidates as per Govt. Memorandum No. ABP. 180/2017/105 dated Dispur the 7th January, 2019.
4. 12 (twelve) years for Ex-Servicemen candidates i.e. upto 50 years irrespective of Un-reserved candidates as per Govt. Notification No.ABP.48/2009/84, dated Dispur the 19^th December, 2022.
5. 15 (fifteen) years for Ex-Servicemen candidates i.e. upto 53 years irrespective of OBC or MOBC candidates as per Govt. Notification No.ABP.48/2009/84, dated Dispur the 19^th December, 2022.
6. 17 (seventeen) years for Ex-Servicemen candidates i.e. upto 55 years irrespective of SC or ST candidates as per Govt. Notification No.ABP.48/2009/84, dated Dispur the 19^th December, 2022.
